Charles B. Toner, M.D. has been practicing Mohs and dermatology surgery in the greater Washington, D.C. and Baltimore area for most of the past 15 years. He retired in 2007 from the US Navy after 29 years of service, following his last assignment as Chief of Dermatology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He also served as the Dermatology Consultant to the U.S. Congress. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served in the submarine service for 8 years prior to entering medical school. In 1994 he obtained his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda. He completed a dermatology residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and a fellowship in Mohs Surgery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French. He currently resides in Cabin John, Maryland with his wife and three children.
