Dr. Eric Parlette

Eric C. Parlette, M.D. has been practicing Mohs surgery, dermatologic surgery, and laser and cosmetic dermatology for over 15 years. Eric did the majority of his growing up in the D.C. area, in Rockville, Maryland. He attended Virginia Tech (94’) for undergrad where he ran cross country and track, while also graduating magna cum laude. He then went on to attend medical school at the University of Virginia (’98) on the U.S. Navy, Health Professions Scholarship Program. He returned to the D.C. area to complete his internship (’99) at the now, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was selected as the Intern of the Year. He completed his dermatology residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego (’04). While serving as the dermatologist at U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa, Japan, he was selected as the Medical Officer of the Year. Subsequently, after 9 years of active duty in the Navy, Eric completed his Mohs Surgery and Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Fellowship (’08) in Boston, Massachusetts.

Eric serves as a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He is enthusiastic about teaching leadership and ethics as an instructor for the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center. He has also enjoyed teaching and doing research in dermatologic surgery over the years. Eric eagerly moved back to the D.C., Maryland, Virginia region several years ago to be close to family and friends.
