About Dr. Liu
Dr. Charles B. Toner

A native of Burke, VA, Dr. Liu is a summa cum laude graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. As an undergraduate student, she was selected to the USA Today All-USA College Academic Team. She received her M.D. degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School as part of the B.S./M.D. joint program in medicine. Following her internship at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, CT, Dr. Liu completed a dermatology residency and procedural dermatology (Mohs) fellowship at the University of Wisconsin (UW) Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. She was co-chief resident in her final year of residency, then served as a clinical instructor in the UW Department of Dermatology. Dr. Liu was a recipient of the Skin Cancer Foundation’s The Dr. Marcia Robbins-Wilf Research Award and Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award. She has been in practice in the Washington metropolitan area since 2011.

Dr. Liu is a board certified dermatologist and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American College of Mohs Surgery, and American Academy of Dermatology. In addition to her interest in Mohs/dermatologic surgery, Dr. Liu enjoys playing the violin and piano.
